Great Customer Service at Valdada
I have been purchasing firearms and firearm related accessories for the past 35 years. One thing that has always struck me is that customer service in the industry typically ranges between mediocre and poor. No matter how great a company’s products are, sooner or later you will encounter a problem, and that is when you find out whether a company will live up to its warranties, guarantees and other promises of customer service. As such, I often make decisions about which companies to buy from based on what I learn regarding a company’s customer service. Often I have refused to buy from a company that had a great product but a bad reputation, buying instead from a competitor, because I did not want to take the risk of the hassle if something went wrong. Over my 35 years of purchases, I can literally count on one hand the number of companies in the industry who I would unqualifiedly say have “great customer service.” I now count Valdada to be one of those few companies. I recently had a problem, which was not the fault of Valdada, but it was their responsibility to resolve. Valdada not only made things right, they did more than expected. Equally impressive was the care and concern shown by the company’s owner, Val. He took the time to talk to me to explain status, provide me with options, and even respond to texts with information and updates. Getting the owner of a company in this industry on the phone is rare, and I have never had an owner be personally responsive to a customer’s issues. Anyone who has spent much time purchasing guns, scopes and related accessories will immediately understand how unusual it is to have an owner who really cares. Valdada makes great scopes, I now own three, and when I am looking for my next scope, Valdada will continue to be where I look. Please look for my review of the new G2 (4.8-30x56) scope, which was my latest purchase, that I will post after I run the scope through its paces. – John, Attorney (Gig Harbor, WA)
