The glass is very good, but that is to be expected from an IOR scope. The scope offers a very flexible magnification range: at 2x it is quite good close up and 10-12x allows to reach pretty far out. The range where I shoot goes out to 700yards and this scope gave me the flexibility to engage targets from 25 yards to 700 yards without ever being limited by either the field of view or the magnification. Ranging with the reticle was pretty straightforward: the mils are accurate at 10x. In low light, when at 10x the exit pupil is a little small, I could comfortably range with the scope set to 5x (just do your regular calculations and then double the result).
