This aluminum base and ring set is made to NATO specs and is a superb platform to mount any scope. It mounts to any existing picatinny 1913 rail, and you can buy additional ringsets to change scope tube diameters while still utilizing one base.

I have been playing with one of these on my 6.5Grendel AR-15 and it works like a charm. For my face shape I prefer mounts that are a touch lower than typical AR-15 mounts and this one works like a charm. I have an IOR 6x42 scope in it and it works beautifully. I found that with this mount I do not have to tighten the nuts a whole lot. Essentially making them finger tight (well as tight as you can with your fingers and I do have pretty strong hands) is sufficient to keep the mount tightly locked to the rail. On my rifle, it also returns to zero if removed and mounted again to within 1/2 - 3/4 MOA or so. Definitely close enough for my shooting skills.
